In March of 2002 our first Stafford was introduced into the world under the name “Sensational Fly ‘N’ High” (Winston), from a breeder in the USA and out of a Sire from New Zealand and a Dam originating in South Africa.

Winston was to become the backbone of Wimaru Reg’d and the start of what is now our kennel.

Winston was soon to give up his domain, which I would say he did willingly with the introduction of Maggie, “Sensational Iron Lady”, Krissy, “Sensational Hugs and Kisses” and finally, Freedom, “Sensational Dew ‘N’ Great”. All of these dogs came from the same breeder and have the same connections with New Zealand and South Africa giving a line that is nicely balanced and within the type according to the current breed standard.

Our next Stafford came direct to us from Ringmaster Staffords, South Africa. Ringmaster Xceptional, "Rubik", was the final piece of the puzzle. He provided the perfect balance to what we already had and what we were hoping to achieve. His pedigree and type fitted perfectly with our current lines and has complimented what we are trying to achieve in our breed.

Our background with Staffords is not as extensive as some other fanciers and breeders but our knowledge of dogs and other animals has been and still is an interest and learning experience which is a benefit to us in everything we do with our companions.

Jane deals with the organizing and preparation of everything regarding when to show, when to breed, when to visit the vet and all the paperwork that needs to be completed and kept updated on a daily basis.

I have a more hands on approach. I have interest in training the dogs from birth and ensuring that they receive the socialisation they need throughout their lives and to help others understand the breed and their attributes. I hold a Diploma in Animal Sciences and am also an Accredited Obedience Trainer.
