Can. Ch. Red Rocks Black Ice

'Ronin'

Ronin's first appearance in the ring was at Edmonton in June 2010 and although he didn't take any points from the weekend towards his Championship he gained valuable experience.

His next appearance was at Red Deer in November 2010.

Ronin was showing with Keally and was awarded Best Of Breed on 5 November under All Breed Judge, Mary White.

This was Ronin's last visit to a show ring in 2010.

The 2011 show year began for Ronin at Prince Albert in March.

Ronin finished his Canadian Championship on 5 March 2011 with a Group 2 placing under All Breed Judge, Susan Badick. He was also awarded two Group 3 placings over the weekend.

He was to appear at two more events during 2011 and took Best Of Breed twice more before taking time off to get back to his pastime of watching the world go by from his window. A whole new meaning to the term, 'neighborhood watch'.

Watch for news of Ronin's adventures in 2012.

Can. Ch. Red Rocks Black Ice (Ronin) was born in Colorado on 11 July 2009.

He arrived in Canada on 13 May 2010 and took up home with his co-owner Keally Tharp & Chad Williams of Magnum Staffords.

Ronin took some time to adjust to the change of environment and his new family but with care, understanding and perseverance on Keally's part he settled in and became her shadow.

It didn't take him long to realize that as the only male in the pack his position was, 'last place'.

His favorite pastime is to sit on the top of his crate and watch the world go by through the picture window. He has a quiet nature and relaxed manner although he does like to play in typical Stafford fashion.
