'Link'
Link was shown only once in 2009 and attained her first points towards her Championship.
Her next appearance in a show ring was at Red Deer in April of 2010 where she finished her Canadian Championship with Best Of Breed under All Breed Judge Shirley Limoges on Sunday 4 April.
It was Link's fourth time in a show ring and what was to be her last appearance to the glitter and lights of conformation.
Link showed the same lack of interest for the show scene as Maggie and treated the show ring as a necessary evil that she would endure because it was asked of her.
She now enjoys life as a retriever/collie, chasing, fetching and gathering of rubber balls on the property.
Her latest achievement was to become a mother in April 2011 giving birth to four puppies, two boys and two girls.
Link holds a special place with us as she is the grand-daughter of a female that we sadly lost at 3 years of age.
It was the similarity in appearance between Link and her Grandma that we noticed immediately and as she grew and matured the personality and manner also became noticeable.
She is sensitive and aware of changes in her environment and can adjust with ease to those changes without showing any concern.
Because of her ease of adjusting to those changing elements, training Link for the show ring was easy. She took to what was asked without question.
