About Us
Dave and Jane emigrated to Canada from England in 1993 settling in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We both have a military background and are from military families.
We have been involved with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier for ten years, however, our interest in the breed began some 20 years prior to attaining the first addition to our family.

Dave served in the British Army retiring after 11 years as a Staff Sergeant. He has four sons from a previous marriage and two step-sons.
There has always been a connection with animals and he has owned and bred various species from Mice and Guinea Pigs to Racing Pigeons and Congo African Grey Parrots with success, prior to focusing on The Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
He is a qualified Certified Management Accountant as well as holding Diploma's in Animal Sciences and Photography, both with Highest Honors. In addition Dave holds a Production Animal Medicine Qualification Certificate issued by the Government of Alberta and is an accredited Dog Obedience Instructor.
His current venture is related to the dog show. He is in the process of working towards his Conformation Judges license.
Dave believes that you should strive to educate yourself in any endeavor and throws himself fully into any venture he undertakes. It is, in his words, the only way that you are able to give help, advice and assistance to others that have a similar interest.
Jane is the daughter of British Army Officer who retired in the rank of Lt. Col.
Jane was a netball player in her youth and played on the England team. She also played on the British Army team against the Australian and New Zealand Armed Forces team during her time in Singapore with the British Armed Forces.
She is a qualified seamstress and uses her skill and knowledge to design and make various items for use in the dog world, from pen covers, crate covers and dog beds to dog collars pet toys and embroidered items.
Jane does most of the preparation work involved in planning breedings, deciding on show schedules and most of the running around jobs to allow Dave to focus on his interests.
After a few years of constant requests for the launch of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club in Alberta, we have decided to take that step and registered the ALBERTA STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER CLUB on 1 November 2011 with Dave standing as the first President, to help the club in the early development.
