Wimaru Reg'd Staffords is a family kennel located between Red Deer and Edmonton in the County of Ponoka, Alberta.
Our dogs are family members that live in the home and have over five acres in which to play and run.
We obtained our first Stafford in 2002 after a wait of some 20 years.
When we brought Sensational Fly 'N' High (Winston) home it was with the intention to have a companion Stafford and nothing more ... little did we know!
Winston was soon followed by Sensational Iron Lady (Maggie), Sensational Hugs and Kisses (Krissy) and Sensational Dew 'N' Great (Freedom).
All of these dogs came to us from the same breeder and have the same connection to lines from New Zealand and South Africa providing the stepping stone for our kennel to produce line bred dogs that are balanced and within type according to the current standard.
Our next addition came to us directly from South Africa.
Ringmaster Xceptional (Rubik) was the next piece in the puzzle. He provided the additional blend of balance, structure and temperament that we were seeking and his pedigree fitted perfectly with our current lines.
This was the starting point of Wimaru Reg'd Staffords.
Our most recent additions are Red Rocks Black Ice (Ronin) and Red Rocks Executive Decision At Wimaru (Riggs). Once again they bring the balance, structure and temperament that we are striving to maintain through selective breeding and socialization.
Although we participate in conformation shows our dogs are, in our words, "Pets that sometimes appear in a show ring."
